The husband of a Connecticut woman who was reported missing last week has been arrested after her body was found in a wooded area on Friday, police said.

The body of Jessica Edwards, 30, the mother of a seven-month-old baby, was found at the entrance to a park near the Hockanum River in East Hartford on Friday morning, South Windsor police said.

Her husband, Tahj Hutchinson, 22, was arrested on a charge of murder at 9pm, police said. The autopsy results are pending, and additional fees are charged.

Edwards' husband and family both reported his disappearance on May 10.

Her husband said he last saw her at 7am, police said. At the time, police were told to get into the car, South Windsor Police Sgt. Mark Cleverdon said Friday.

"We don't believe that's what happened," Cleverdon told reporters Friday after the body was found.

Congress will not meet Biden's deadline for a bill to change Floyd's police force. Proponents of her case have been working to make the actual transcript of this statement available online.

Police did not say how Edwards died. The state medical office will determine the cause and cause of death, Cleverdon said.

Hutchinson was arrested on $ 1 million bail, police said. It was not immediately clear if he had a lawyer who could speak for him.

Cleverdon said location information obtained from the investigation-related call helped guide police near the Hockanum River Linear Park entrance where the body was found.

Cleverdon said earlier Friday that Edwards's family was upset and asked for a secret. Edwards' mother and sister said they last saw him on the night of May 9, which is Mother's Day, police said.

"We feel sorry for them, and there is no other way to put that," Cleverdon said. "They are very sad right now, and they miss their daughter, her sister, very much."
