Darrell Brooks, a suspect in the Waukesha tragedy, Wisconsin, at a Christmas show, has been charged with the sixth count of premeditated murder in connection with the case, a court heard on Monday.

The victim is identified as a child who was pronounced dead at the scene last week as the first five murder cases are being read out.

The 6th death toll during the holiday show comes as the suspect appears in court

Brooks, 39, allegedly drove an SUV to a crowd at a party on November 21, when it was announced that five victims had died overnight. More than 40 others were injured, officials said.

Among the patients were a few children, officials said at a local hospital.

A sixth victim died Tuesday from "craniocerebral injuries due to severe head injuries," according to a report on Monday, citing the fate of a health inspector in Waukesha County.

Police said that before the incident they were called to answer Brooks, who allegedly fled in an SUV and drove into it.

Authorities say he deliberately targeted participants and visitors to the show, and he ended up hitting something high. They said Brooks has a long record of arrest.

He was first charged with five counts of culpable homicide and sentenced to life imprisonment on $ 5 million bail.

Public Protector Wilson Medina said in an email, "We have no comment yet."

Monday's figure was submitted by the Waukesha District Attorney's Office.
