A few veterans claim they walked out of a meeting with New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez because she criticized President Donald Trump.

A recent speech by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez delivered in front of community leaders for the Bronx went sideways when the politician made certain comments that were not taken lightly by the people attending.

Ocasio-Cortez aimed some sharp criticism at the way the US has been working on the foreign front lately and expressed her disappointment over the country's foreign policy as a whole.

This caused two army veterans to leave the speech in an angry manner, according to reports.

One of them gave a statement to the press, in which he accused Ocasio-Cortez of attempting to undermine the position of President Donald Trump and the country as a whole.

Silvio Mazzella, a Vietnam War vet,  said: "She knocks the country, she knocks the president. Talking about America, that really turned me off completely."

Anthony Vitaliano, a veteran who worked for the NYPD for 38 years, added: "I just couldn't hear her BS anymore. I just got up, got my umbrella in my hand, and walked right out."

He added that this was not what he believed America was all about, and he did not agree with the views of the liberal politician.

Still, others have expressed their approval towards Ocasio-Cortez, claiming that she did the right thing by speaking out about the issues with the country's approach to other nations.

This has been the elephant in the room for quite a while now, and other politicians have seemingly tried to sweep the issue under the rug for the most part.

Ocasio-Cortez, on the other hand, has no qualms about discussing issues like these and has been very vocal about her disapproval of the current administration in various ways.

Whether this will cost her some of her followers is not clear. However, she has made it known that she will likely not regret such a loss at all, to begin with, which creates some interesting implications for her future actions.

A spokesperson for the young political star said no one left the meeting. Corbin Trent explained: "The only person that left the meeting while it was underway was someone who had to go pick up their children."

Vitaliano insists that he did leave. Do you think AOC's team is telling the truth, yes or no?
