A recent fatal shooting incident has left many shocked after 12 were killed at a municipal building in Virginia Beach.

Moreover, while there were many questions regarding the incident at first, some details have started to surface that have painted the situation in a slightly clearer light.

According to reports, the shooter, DeWayne Craddock, was recently dealing with issues at his workplace regarding disciplinary sanctions.

He was also reportedly violent towards his coworkers and was having a hard time concealing his disturbed mental state, according to reports from people allegedly close to him.

His shooting rampage last week left twelve dead and several injured. The shooter also exchanged shots with the police, wounding one.

Craddock's behavior had reached the point of actual violence recently, which was the reason for his disciplinary sanctions in the first place, according to reports.

He had come into the building fully anticipating to be reprimanded for the incident and wanted to be "one step ahead" of his employers, thereby choosing to attack everyone in the building indiscriminately.

Details about the case are still coming out, however, as many points remain unclear.

Some people have called for a stricter investigation into the case, while others have expressed doubt that Craddock could have been pushed to such extreme violence from a workplace accident.

However, many details that have surfaced so far do seem to point in that direction, but unfortunately, the country will likely never know the actual truth, other than what investigators manage to dig up.

Craddock's family put out a note reacting to the tragedy. It read: "We are grieving the loss of our loved one. At this time, we wish to focus on the victims and the lives loss [sic] during yesterdays tragic event. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those who loss [sic] their lives, and those recovering in the hospital."

Deaconess Betty Ware had this to say about the parents: "They're beautiful people, both. She was just proud of them, her children."

Some are using this tragedy to push for stricter gun control around the country.

Do you think new gun laws could have prevented this, yes or no?
