Can a woman facing many questions about her past and coming from a very liberal state give President Donald Trump a serious run for his money in 2020?

After Senator Elizabeth Warren officially announced her plans to attempt a run for the White House, many responded positively and shared words of encouragement.

The media was even somewhat impressed by her efforts on the campaign trail in states like Iowa. Even some critics of the left-leaning politician seemed to wish her good luck for 2020.

However, it does not seem like everyone around her shares that positive attitude -- in fact, the highest-ranking politician in the United States at the moment does not even take Warren’s attempts seriously.

President Trump, referring to Warren as “Pocahontas,” poked fun at her Native American roots, and questioned whether she will try running as the first Native candidate, or if she has other plans at this point.

Trump wrote: "Today Elizabeth Warren, sometimes referred to by me as Pocahontas, joined the race for President."

He also added: "Will she run as our first Native American presidential candidate, or has she decided that after 32 years, this is not playing so well anymore? See you on the campaign TRAIL, Liz!"

It does not look like Trump’s snarky remark has managed to put a dent in Warren’s confidence at this point, however. Her campaign is still scheduled to proceed with full force, and observers expect to see a very active fight between Warren and her upcoming opponents, including Trump.

Trump himself seems to have lost some support in recent months, especially with the partial government shutdown, as many have turned their attention towards other politicians that are rumored to try their chance in the next election round.

The former reality TV star has gathered a lot of criticism for some of his actions during his presidential run and since he got elected, although this does not seem to have affected his general demeanor in any positive way so far.

Many are speculating about Trump’s real chances in the next election, but it is clear that the president has no intention of backing down, and will do his best to get reelected if the way he interacts with Warren is any indication of his motivation.
