The day Donald Trump announced his run for the presidency, he attacked Mexican immigrants by saying that they were rapists and drug dealers.
After beating Hillary Clinton to the White House, he continued to blast illegal immigrants who commit crimes while sometimes remaining silent over "real" Americans who take part in horrific acts.
This week, POTUS reached out the family of Corporal Ronil Singh who was shot by Perez Arriaga.
Arriaga, a Mexican man, was arrested after Christmas for the deadly shooting of the Newman police officer.
Mr. Singh, who was murdered during a traffic stop, leaves behind a wife, Amanika “Mika” Chand-Singh, and a 5-month-old son.
According to California authorities, the officer was shot after he pulled Arriaga over on suspicion of drunk driving.
Arriaga has been living in the state illegally and had several run-ins with the law in the past. He was apprehended while fleeing to Mexico.
Two men -- Bernabe Madrigal Castaneda, 59, and Erasmo Villegas, 36 -- and one woman, Maria Luisa Moreno, 57, were also arrested on charges of aiding and abetting Arriaga.
Singh’s brother, Reggie, got emotional during a news conference where he thanked the authorities and SWAT team who captured the alleged criminal by saying: “Ronil Singh was my older brother. Yes, he’s not coming back, but there’s a lot of people out there that misses him. I was waiting for this to happen. . . . Thank you for working day and night to make this happen.”
White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said the president “praised Officer Singh’s service to his fellow citizens, offered condolences, and commended law enforcement’s rapid investigation, response, and apprehension of the suspect.”
Trump used the horrific incident to blast Democrats and ask for stricter border security in a tweet that read: "There is right now a full-scale search going on in California for an illegal immigrant accused of shooting and killing a police officer during a traffic stop. Time to get tough on Border Security. Build the Wall!"
Thus far, Nancy Pelosi and countless Democrats have refused to fund Trump's enormous wall.
Should Trump get his wall?
