Christopher Mellon, former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence, has said that a recent report of almost daily interactions between Navy pilots with unidentified flying objects (UFO’s) between the years of 2014 and 2015 is not anything new, and feels the government needs to do something about it.
Mellon is part of a new series on the History Channel entitled "Unidentified," which will cover topics of the encounters as mentioned above recent discussed and reported in a New York Times article. The article included various interviews with US Navy pilots, who stated they made contact with and saw UFO's moving at hypersonic speeds, performing aerial maneuvers beyond the physical abilities of a human crew, and appearing to have no visible engine or exhaust trails.
While appearing on the Wednesday morning segment of the show "Fox & Friends," Mellon was interviewed about the article. Having written several times on the very same topic and sightings before, Mellon stated the reasons as to why the Navy is indeed concerned with these verified sightings.
Mellon offered: "We know that UFOs exist. This is no longer an issue. The issue is, why are they here? Where are they coming from, and what is the technology behind these devices that we are observing?"
Mellon stated that indications are that the objects that were reported to have been seen by the Navy pilots between 2014 and 2015 were performing in such a way that is not possible in our perceived physical realm. He also stated that it came through loud and clear in the pilot's statements of the encounters that they were themselves mystified by the aircraft.
One incident, as Mellon described, turn quickly from one of fascination to fear. A Super Hornet Pilot reported that he almost collided with one of the UFOs—which he reported appeared to be a sphere encased by a cube. Once a report on the encounter was filed, the up until then theory by most Navy pilots that the objects were probably extremely classified drones operations, was shattered.
Mellon added to keep in mind all of this information is pretty much old news to him. As for the American public, this is ground shaking. Mellon went on to say that it is not just America’s that have seen and interacted with these unidentified objects. As a result, many who have known of their existence are seemingly frustrated with the lack of concern or action that the government has shown up until now.
So, what's the verdict--you decide.
Has our government really known about the existence of UFOs as Mellon claims?
