Despite the popularity, Ilhan Omar has been enjoying lately, it looks like not everyone agrees with her views and statements.

Some have been quite critical of her, in fact, including GOP leader Liz Cheney, who recently delivered a very strongly worded speech regarding her fellow politician, criticizing her and those who support her at the same time.

Cheney claimed that the actions of Omar have been doing nothing but to promote anti-Semitism in the country, and even worse, some high-ranking politicians have jumped to her defense and have also entangled themselves in that mess.

Alternatively, at least that is how Cheney seems to see the situation right now.

Rep. Cheney (R-Wyo.) told NBC’s

She added: "I mean the extent to which they are now abiding by anti-Semitism, enabling anti-Semitism in their party is something we watched them struggle with, but something that is very dangerous for the country. So I’m hopeful that they will be able to stand up and do the right thing on this."

Some have fired back at Cheney herself, claiming that her own statements are working to distract the nation from more important topics that should be under the spotlight at the moment.

It is difficult to determine where the majority of those comments have been coming from, as it looks like Omar has managed to divide multiple political camps recently with some of her statements.

Omar herself does not look like she has any intention to tone down her political presence anytime soon, and if anything, the politician has made it clear that she is going to push even harder on the topics that she has been promoting recently.

The fact that so many people are paying attention to what she has to say on those issues could possibly be seen as an indication that she is on the right track, although opinions have been somewhat divided on that front.

Do you agree or disagree with how Cheney views Omar's statements?
