Another attack aimed at New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is now targeting her habits with regards to the environment.

According to reports, Ocasio-Cortez has a very noticeable carbon footprint thanks to the way she uses her car, despite advocating for a greener future at the same time.

Ocasio-Cortez has gone on record multiple times claiming that the world is close to a global catastrophe unless the country starts taking immediate action.

She is one of the most active defenders of the idea that society needs to rise against global warming.

At the same time, however, she has reportedly taken a lot of time driving her car around.

That is even though she reportedly lives close to a subway station, and has excellent connection opportunities for public transportation.

While Ocasio-Cortez herself has not responded to the new claims directly, some have pointed out that it is a bit ridiculous to attack her on those points considering the general behavior of U.S. politicians in this regard lately.

AOC tried to turn them in ridicule by stating: "The Post put the fact that I get into cars (while proposing a plan to invest in better car technology) on their front page 😂 Pack it up folks, the Pulitzer’s been decided. No one can rival this kind of hard-hitting journalism."

She added:  "I also fly ✈️ & use A/C Living in the world as it is isn’t an argument against working towards a better future. The Green New Deal is about putting a LOT of people to work in developing new technologies, building new infrastructure, and getting us to 100% renewable energy."

She has been pointed out as one of the more green-minded people of her generation in politics and has done a lot to promote her green views and motivate others to join in.

She is also not the only politician to use a car in her daily life, and in fact, many of her colleagues seem to have even more startling habits when it comes to the environment.

With that in mind, it would appear that this is just another provocation meant to get a response out of Ocasio-Cortez rather than trying to promote meaningful conversation.
