While Ann Coulter has left the Donald Trump train, South Carolina’s senior Senator Lindsey Graham's support seems to be getting stronger by the day.
At this point, it seems that Mr. Graham is ready to throw some of young Kentucky residents under the bus to prove to the Republican president that he has his back.
Indeed, the conservative believes children in the state of Kentucky are more in need of a wall than schools and teachers to educate them and prepare them for a bright future.
On Sunday, the politician visited Face the Nation where he had a fascinating exchange with host Margaret Brennan about the president's emergency declaration to obtain funds for his massive border wall.
Brennan told Graham that there is a possibility that the money that was supposed to be used for the construction of a new middle school in Kentucky could be diverted to fund Trump's billion-dollar wall.
Brennan clearly explained that about $3.6 billion will be subtracted from “military construction efforts, including construction of a middle school in Kentucky, housing for military families, improvements for bases.”
She went on to ask Graham: “Aren’t you concerned some of these projects ... are now going to possibly be cut out?”
Graham responded by saying: “I would say it’s better for the middle school kids in Kentucky to have a secure border…right now we’ve got a national emergency on our hands.”
Voters are going after the senator for his blind and sometimes aggressive backing of Trump.
A person called him out on social media by saying: "How lame is @LindseyGrahamSC? If this was such an emergency, why did the @GOP not address it last year (or before)? You had total government control the last 2 years! Come on man; I’ll wait!"
This woman said Senator is out of touch and added: "Well this is what Kentucky wants, a senator that doesn’t put Kentucky ‘s nationally-lagging education level first. Instead, they want to elect a senator that lately seems more interested in building a cement monument to the president for his glory and to boost his chances in 2020."
Many believe that Graham is bending backward to push Trump's agenda because he does not want to get primaried in 2020.
