Some say that money can fix all problems, but the recent story of Mike Weirsky can serve as a good reminder that this is not always the case.

Weirsky, who recently won a $273-million lottery jackpot, apparently still has no chance of ever getting back together with his ex-wife, despite his huge fortune.

This was confirmed by his ex herself, Eileen Murray, who explained that she wants nothing to do with her ex-husband even now that he is wealthy beyond his imagination.

She added that her ex has no appeal for her at this point, and that money changes nothing in their relationship.

The 53-year-old woman explained: "He’s not appealing to me all of a sudden because he has this money. I’m not going after anything. I have morals. I know what I’ve worked for and it’s everything that I have."

It seems that she still thinks that the ex-husband could make a nice gesture and here is why: "Think about it. How long did I work? How long did I support him? I had to give him a lot of money in the divorce. You tell me what’s the moral thing to do."

The relationship was apparently on shaky grounds for some time, and there is speculation that Weirsky’s unemployed status could have contributed to their breakup.

The official reason for the two separating was never officially confirmed, despite some trying to probe further into it.

Reports indicate that Murray still has to pay spousal support to her ex-husband.

Despite that, she apparently has no intention to try getting any of his money and does not see her situation changing in any way.

The woman added that this was a matter of moral for her above all else, and she knows her value and accomplishments, and will not compromise for anything less.

Her ex-husband has reportedly not made any attempts to contact her with financial offers, though she apparently does not expect that to happen in the first place.

Weirsky himself has not commented on the situation, although it is likely that his mind has been preoccupied with something else.

Do you think the ex-husband is right and wrong for not reaching out?
