In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan Markle claimed to be a victim of lies against her couple, spread by the royal family themselves.
Three members in particular.
She points out the culprits. Last February, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry gave up their titles of senior members within the British monarchy after having been refused by Elizabeth II to see them carrying out royal duties in parallel of their personal commitments.
A hard blow for the Sussex couple who decided to give themselves up in a major interview with Oprah Winfrey, a first since they left the British Royal Family.
And while the ties with the Windsor family are more strained than ever, the duchess has decided to denounce the lies that have been told about her couple, which she attributes... to the royal family. And more particularly to three members.
Indeed, the Daily Mail reports that Meghan Markle particularly blames Kate Middleton, Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles for the lies, especially those concerning her so-called "bad temper".
From the episode in which the Duchess of Cambridge broke down in tears because of her sister-in-law, to the choice of tiara for her wedding which had annoyed Elizabeth II, all these stories were reported in the press and, according to Prince Harry's wife, were revealed by "the men in grey suits".
Employees of the royal offices in the service of the three members of the Duchess's entourage who were "obsessed with their destruction" when she and her husband were at Kensington Palace.
Meghan Markle under internal investigation
While the cloth is burning between Meghan Markle and the royal family, the recent internal investigation requested by Buckingham Palace is unlikely to help matters. Accused of harassment by two former assistants, the Duchess of Sussex has for some time been the subject of a complaint of intimidation by a former member of her cabinet.
To shed light on the case, the monarchy has decided to launch an investigation into facts revealed by The Times, a newspaper that Meghan Markle believes serves the Windsor family and is "being used by Buckingham Palace to peddle a completely false story" about her.
