It is safe to assume that the ladies of The View, Meghan McCain and Whoopi Goldberg will not be spending their summer vacation together.
On Monday’s episode of the gabfest, the conservative and liberal TV personalities clashed over abortion and who has more talking time.
It all started after the Oscar-winning actress shared her thoughts about abortion laws in Alabama.
After Goldberg gave her opinion, McCain asked if it was possible for her to speak her piece finally.
McCain stated: “I don’t get to talk? Just wondering if I can say something.”
Goldberg hit back with: “Here’s the deal… I let you all talk, and I say nothing. If there’s more to say, if you want to say more, we’ll come back and say more.”
McCain responded by: “It’s fine.”
This is not the first time the ladies have clashed during a tense discussion, and according to a staff member who spoke to The Daily Mail, Goldberg is frustrated by McCain's frequent fights the co-hosts.
According to the insider who spoke to The Daily Mail: “Whoopi is at her breaking point with Meghan. She’s been trying to hang in there, especially keep the peace with Meghan and Joy, but we all know she’s about to break.”
Goldberg also disapproves of the fact that McCain consistently disrespected 76-year-old Joy Behar, and she had to step in to play the referee.
The source went on to say the following about Goldberg’s thoughts on her colleague’s lack of respect for others: “They have survived Rosie O’Donnell, Star Jones, and even Barbara Walters. So for Meghan to be causing problems for them, it says a lot about her and isn’t a reflection on them at all… Even on her worst days, Whoopi tries her best to be respectful to the staff. Even if something upsets her or she snaps for some reason, she’ll come back and apologize and explain herself later.”
The person in the know revealed: "It’s been extremely hard for her to see Meghan come in and really bring the morale down. All the reports of her being ‘cold, icy and unpleasant’ are really mild compared to the truth of her personality.”
Do you think politics is tearing the ladies of The View, yes or no?
