The shocking murder of former pro hockey player Darren Partch and criminal justice advocate Wendi Miller took the media by storm when the bodies of the two were discovered.
There was immediately a lot of speculation regarding their deaths, with many people questioning why the two have been murdered together in the first place, and whether they had been involved in anything behind the scenes that might have led to the tragic incident.
An arrest has reportedly been made in connection with the crime, as authorities have apprehended Jamon Rayon Buggs, a personal trainer, who was already linked to two attempted residential burglaries.
No official statement has been issued regarding Buggs and his connection to the murder, but reports indicate that he is currently held on a $1,000,000 bond.
With that in mind, authorities have a strong case with the trainer, although they are still in the process of going through the relevant details.
No official cause of death has been announced either. According to official statements by investigators, they had no reason to believe that the murderer had forced their entry into the home, which had pointed authorities in certain specific directions in their search.
Many friends and relatives of the victims have been discussing the situation on social media, with some of them questioning how the trainer could have been connected, and what his motives might have been.
Luke Carpenter, Miller's son, wrote on Facebook: "First of all, I want to say thank you for all the love and support from everyone. It’s way more than I could ever hope for. For those who don’t know my mother was found. She had been shot and it was told to us that she did not suffer. The police are still investigating all the details."
He added: “Thank you for all the prayers and please don’t stop because I feel our family needs them even more now. I have no doubt in my mind that she was loved on earth and I’m happy that she gets to be loved even better in heaven. I love you mom."
It is important to note that authorities have not officially identified him as the killer behind the horrific act, so it is possible that they are holding him for a different reason.
Do you think the trainer knew the couple, yes or no?
