With all the talk about the potential of impeaching U.S. President Donald Trump, it looks like not everyone is against the head of the country.

Some have spoken out in defense of his current administration, claiming that impeachment is not the right move in this case.

Others seem more on the fence but still stand behind the position that the president should not face impeachment in the current situation.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi recently announced that she does not believe in the idea of impeaching Trump, although her reasons do not seem to be supportive of the president himself.

According to Pelosi, impeachment is just not worth it for Trump, and it would only serve to divide the country even further if it came to fruition.

Pelosi made it clear that she does not support Trump’s current policies, on the other hand, and she went on to talk about the current issues faced by the administration.

The California lawmaker explained: "I’m not for impeachment. This is news. I’m going to give you some news right now because I haven’t said this to any press person before. But since you asked, and I’ve been thinking about this: Impeachment is so divisive to the country that unless there’s something so compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan, I don’t think we should go down that path, because it divides the country. And he’s just not worth it."

While an impeachment might not happen at this point, the upcoming 2020 election will surely be interesting to follow, given the current political climate in the U.S.

It is clear that the country is quite divided on some topics, including the performance of its own president, and this could have serious repercussions in the next election for the role of leader of the free world.

It looks like plenty of people involved in the current political scene are well aware of that though, and many have demonstrated their intent to go up against Trump and challenge him in the 2020 race for president.

Whether his reputation has degraded enough to prevent him from being reelected remains to be seen.

Do you agree or disagree with Pelosi's views on Trump's impeachment?
