In shocking videos, you can see the moment the train destroys the aircraft that had fallen on the tracks moments before.

An unusual accident occurred in Los Angeles County (California, USA) where an aircraft crashed on the tracks of a train and was hit by this moments before.

According to local media, Pacoime County police managed to rescue the Cessna 172 type aircraft pilot just seconds before it was hit by the train. However, the pilot made an emergency landing that led him to land right on the train tracks.

Authorities claimed that the plane lost power shortly after taking off from the airport in the San Fernando Valley, forcing the pilot to land the emergency craft at around 2:10 pm. Local time.

"I was walking my dog," said Rocío Durán, a witness cited by CBS. "I saw the police leave, and I saw that the plane had gone down."

The pilot was the only occupant onboard and was removed from the aircraft by passersby before firefighters arrived around 2:10 pm Sunday, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey.

Two videos remained of the accident, one showing the moment when the pilot was rescued by emergency personnel and the other showing when the train ran over the crashed plane on the tracks.

The pilot was taken to a trauma center by police paramedics. He received treatment for cuts and bruises and is in stable condition.

No other injuries were reported, and there was no fire, only a minor fuel spill that firefighters contained.

The damaged plane remained near the Metrolink Antelope Valley line railroad tracks. All train movement was restricted in that area.

One or more lanes of San Fernando Road and Osborne Street were closed in the area. At the same time, crews investigated the accident and conducted cleanup operations.

The pilot has yet to be identified. No other injuries were reported.
