US President Donald Trump's use of social media might be crossing certain boundaries, according to commenters, as the former reality TV star recently posted a tweet that many saw as downright dangerous.

Reacting to the developing situation around Iran, Trump stated that if Iran were looking for a fight "that will be the official end of Iran."

Also, while it is highly unlikely that the president had any intention of starting a conflict, this is precisely how many people took his comment.

He wrote: "If Iran wants to fight, that will be the official end of Iran. Never threaten the United States again!"

The president told the media on Monday: "They've been very hostile. We have no indication that anything has happened or will happen, but if it does, it will be met obviously with great force. We'll have no choice."

It did not take long for the negative comments to start pouring in, with many criticizing Trump for his attitude and some even asking him to take down the tweet.

In the meantime, the situation between the US and Iran remains tense, with reports indicating that there might be trouble on the horizon.

Trump's recent remarks might not have been helpful either, as it looks like many people are on edge right now, and the president has played no small role in that.

It does look like Trump has calmed down for the time being and he has toned down his posting on social media, but at the same time, many remain worried for the future and the effects of his possible actions.

Sen. Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) said this about the Iranian situation: "You're always concerned about it if it escalates. But I really don't see that. The president is trying to get us out of every armed conflict we're in. I can't imagine him escalating into a new one."

With the 2020 election coming up, it looks like Trump has lost a good chunk of potential supporters, and many have started to question whether the president has any chance of getting a second term.

His recent behavior in public has been a contributing factor to that as well, without any doubt.

Is Trump pushing the Iran tension for political reasons, yes or no?
