Twitter shut down its account for Rep. Jim Banks, Ind., R. On Saturday, he was banned from Twitter because he deliberately wrongly identified a senior Health and Human Services official Dr. Rachel Levine, the first transgender person ever to be in a position which requires Senate confirmation.

Banks who represents the northeastern region in the state was reacting to the announcement about the news that Levine, HHS' assistant secretary for health, has been the very first female to an officer with four stars in the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps in a statement that said admiral's title and the title of admiral were taken by an "man."

Banks have criticized his suspension on the account he used for personal use, claiming that he was penalized because he had "posting a statement of FACT."

"I won't back down," Banks wrote. "I'll be posting on my personal account for the time being."

Levine who is the country's top transgender official was the first openly transgender four-star officer in all eight uniformed forces on Tuesday.

"This is a momentous occasion, and I am honored to take this role for the impact I can make and for the historic nature of what it symbolizes," Levine stated in her speech during her ceremony to swear in.
