Sharon Stone might be one of the sexiest women alive, but it does not mean she can't be blocked from a dating site.

The Golden Globe-winning actress has revealed on social media that she was recently bumped from the dating site Bumble. Other users reported her profile, assuming it could not be her. She added, "Hey @bumble, is being me exclusionary? Don't shut me out of the hive."

Bumble's editorial director contacted the ''Basic Instinct'' superstar to apologize to her in person and reactivated her account and welcomed her to the dating platform.

Bumble is a dating app connecting people looking for romance or friendship. Registered users can select who they want to meet depending on gender, age range, and the distance they are willing to travel.

Unlike the majority of the dating apps, Bumble leaves it to the woman to make the first move and initiate the contact. The founder and CEO, Whitney Wolfe Herd, is a big supporter of the #MeToo and #TimesUp campaigns, so she wanted to empower the women to take the initiative.

Stone, now 61, became world-famous in 1992 after the release of the erotic thriller ''Basic Instinct'', where she partnered with Michael Douglas.

In 2018, the actress opened up about her personal life in an interview with Grazia magazine. She admitted it was hard for her to find a partner as she was not the type of woman that would be defined by a man. Stone emphasized she was not looking for an arrangement but a partnership, and those were hard to find, she added.

In 1984, Stone tied the knot with the Hollywood producer Michael Greenberg but their marriage lasted no longer than three years. Her second husband was the journalist Phil Bronstein. The couple finalized their divorce in 2004.

In one of her last interviews for Allure magazine in October, the 61-year-old movie star reflected on her life and career, highlighting that her 40's turned out to be the most challenging years of her life.

Hollywood was not friendly to women in their 40's, Stone said, adding that she had three kids to take care of and was recovering from a severe brain injury. On top of that, she was involved in a custody battle over her oldest kid. At the same time, she felt the most beautiful at that period.

Most recently, Sharon Stone joined the cast of Netflix's "The Laundromat." In 2020, she is set to feature in another upcoming Netflix production called" Ratched."
