The Chinese regime confirmed the death penalty sentence against a Canadian for drug trafficking.

This ruling comes a day before the Chinese Justice announces its verdict on Canadian citizen Michael Spavor, accused of espionage.

The High People's Court of Justice of the northeastern Chinese province of Liaoning today rejected the appeal in the second instance of Canadian citizen Robert Lloyd Schellenberg, sentenced to death for drug trafficking, and upheld the verdict.

In January 2019, the Chinese justice issued the death penalty for Schellenberg, a sentence that came after a repeat trial, at the end of December 2018 and the beginning of January 2019, as the sentence previously imposed was considered not very severe. To 15 years in jail.
