An association rescued the dog, and it took 24 hours for him to find another family.

A scene full of cruelty took place on a Texas highway when a car stopped in the middle of the road to leave a dog there. A man was arrested after this unfortunate event.

Last week, the painful incident occurred on a highway in Horizon City, located in El Paso County, Texas, in the United States. A video, recorded and broadcast apparently by the passenger of another car on the road, shows how a car came to a complete stop on the side of the road.

Then a young man is seen getting out of the car with a husky dog, taking off the leash and collar, letting go of it, and leaving it there. Then the boy gets into the vehicle and closes the door. It is also possible to see that an older man, whose image is seen in the video through the side mirror on the driver's side, goes behind the wheel and waits while the young man leaves the dog.

When the boy gets in, the man starts the car. In the recording that was shared on social networks, it is observed how, once the vehicle began to move forward, the dog tried to chase it although, as expected, it could not keep up.

"I don't know how those people could get into that vehicle, see that dog in the mirror running after them, and then walk away. I don't know how you can do that as a human being," Ronald Comeau, an activist who has been rescuing dogs in El Paso, Texas, told a local media outlet. "It hurt. The immediate thought that comes to mind for people who love animals is to give me that person for five minutes in a dark room," he added in frustration.

Fortunately, it took 24 hours for this husky to be adopted by a new family named him, Nanook. "I think he is doing us an active kindness by completing our family," said the new owner of the husky, "he is no longer lost."

On the other hand, after giving the search notice and even offering a reward of $ 5,000, a man was arrested for these events. It is about Luis Antonio Campos, 68 years old. Last Friday, he was arrested, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office announced on its social media accounts.

It was not confirmed that Luis Campos was indeed the driver seen in viral images. Although the police did indicate that they were looking for another person, a participant in the events, to arrest him, the investigation of what happened is clarified.

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office noted that these crimes against our voiceless animal victims are taken seriously. We actively seek to hold suspects accountable for these cruel acts.
