Fox News, senior vice president, and Managing Editor Bill Sammon has asked Perez to reconsider his decision.

Mr. Sammon reminded Perez that his network has a group of able and qualified journalists -- Chris Wallace, Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum -- who can do the job with integrity and professionalism.
