In a "Fox & Friends" appearance three years ago, Voight said he firmly believed in Trump's ability to take impossible risks and to make the impossible happen, referring to his business empire.
Voight also added that Trump was not afraid of hard work, and he knew how to motivate people to do their best too. Voight also praised Trump's ability to always choosing the right advisors.
Comparing Trump to the other candidates, Voight asserted that no one of Trump's political rivals was so straightforward in pointing out the important issues America faces. Trump not only name the problems, but he also suggested solutions, Voight commented.
Many fellow Hollywood actors silently supported Trump, Voight noted, highlighting that they preferred to claim that publicly for one or another reason.

In return to his ongoing support, President Trump invited Jon Voight to speak at the Make America Great Again Welcome Celebration on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in 2016.
Voight told the crowd that President Lincoln would be proud and smiling, knowing that America will be saved by an honest man who will work for everyone regardless of their color or background.
In March this year, Donald Trump appointed one of his earliest Hollywood defendants, Voight, a trustee of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts through 2024.
