Mr. Carlson was part of MSNBC until 2009 when he left the network to join Fox News.
Carlson, who covered a wide range of topics, could be heard making eye-popping remarks about Britney Spears, Martha Stewart's daughter, and Rachel Holt, a teacher who was charged with 28 counts of raping a minor -- a teen boy who was in her class.
Carlson made some rather sexist and vulgar comments about women in general. Here are some of the controversial comments.
About Britney Spears and Paris Hilton, he claimed they are "the biggest white wh@res in America."
He stated that TV host Alexis Stewart, daughter of Martha Stewart is c***y and should get "the spanking she so desperately needs."
About Holt, he claimed: "So my point is that teachers like this, not necessarily this one in particular, but they are doing a service to all 13-year-old girls by taking the pressure off. They are a pressure relief valve, like the kind you have on your furnace."
He believes women are primitive.
He confessed in one of the controversial clips: "I mean, I love women, but they’re extremely primitive, they’re basic, they’re not that hard to understand. And one of the things they hate more than anything is weakness in a man."
Carlson has refused to apologize; he said this in a statement: "
