Two were killed, and at least three were injured in what became known as the Brooklyn Case.

The U.S. authorities have indicated that they moved to Wortman Avenue and Sheffield Avenue due to the shooting alert and calls to emergency services.

On Sunday, Police said, two people were killed, and three others were injured in an armed attack during a ceremony in Brooklyn, New York.

U.S. officials said they traveled to Wortman Avenue and Sheffield Avenue at about 3:30 p.m. (local time) because of gunfire and calls to emergency services.

They found the deceased inside vehicles or around the event scene in the area with shots in different parts of the body.

Between 30 and 50 years old, the wounded have also been shot in different parts of the body. They are admitted to hospitals in critical condition.

"I heard two shots at the party, and then the attacker got into a black SUV," said the security guard at the party.

As of Aug. 1, ten people have been killed in eastern New York, down 52 percent from the 21 homicide victims in the same period last year.

The number of homicides across the city has dropped by 2.4 percent, with 245 people killed so far this year, up from 251 in the same period last year.

However, in the last one, there have been several murders that have been registered in the city. In addition, gun violence continues in New York, where several shootings last weekend left at least two dead and 18 injured, in events in which at least one of them, according to Police, was related to gangs.

For one thing,  two men were killed, one in the Bronx and one in Manhattan, and eight other people were injured in separate incidents early Sunday morning. According to law enforcement sources cited by the New York Post,  of the eight injured, three were from stray bullets when two groups began shooting at each other after a dispute in Upper Manhattan.

In another episode, according to a video distributed by authorities, two men wearing masks and sweet shirts came from a street corner in the Corona neighborhood of Queens, removing weapons hidden under their clothes. They started shooting at about 10:30 p.m. At 10:30 a.m. local time on Saturday (02:30 GMT), a group of people were injured.

There was a birthday party at a nearby restaurant.

The sidewalk was packed when the shooting occurred, which left eight men wounded and two women, between 19 and 72 years old, according to data offered by the Police this Sunday during a Press conference. Three of the injured were the target of the shots, according to channel 7 of the ABC network.

Behind them, two other men on motorcycles came to the sidewalk, in which they fled the scene.

According to the Police, the wounded will survive. "There is only one common, a recurring theme that keeps happening and has to stop throughout the city. That's weapons, multiple weapons on the scene. This is unacceptable on our streets in New York City, and it has to end," said Police Chief of Detectives James Essig at the conference.

Police, which closed several streets in the area for the investigation, has asked the public for help in locating the attackers.
